Mrs. Scott’s Zoology class continued their study of the phylum Mollusca by dissecting clams today!





Mrs. Scott’s Environmental Science class transplanted lettuce into the aquaponics system and is testing and preparing the water for their fish!





There will be a Tip-In Club meeting Wednesday, Oct. 26th at 5:30 in the high school gym. All parents and community members are welcome! We will be discussing the upcoming basketball season and the yearly Meet the Ironmen event.

A few of our softball girls also made all conference. Rylee Foster, Macie Slocter made All Conference. Maddie Barnes received Co-MVP. Hanna Hewitt and Kaitlyn Pierce received honorable mention. Congrats Ladies!

CONCERT UPDATE
Dear Parents and Students the Fall Concert is STILL ON for this evening. The Concert will begin at 7:00 pm in the MS Gym. Student call time is 5:45 pm in the band room.
MS Choir, HS Band and HS Choir has been asked to stay at school this afternoon for rehearsal. Students should be calling home shortly to talk with their parents.
Due to a water main break at the elementary school, school is technically being released at 1:00 pm but I have asked those three groups to stay and still have rehearsal. We DO have water here at the high school.

Due to a water leak at the Elementary School we are going to release school today at 1:00. Buses will run there routes at 1:00. Thank for understanding.

Monday Night - Jr High Football at Home 6:00 against Commerce. Grades combined.
Friday Night - Varsity Football at Home 7:00 vs Rejoice. Pink Out Game. Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Jr High Football Games are at home and start at 6pm Monday the 17th. Players need to be at the fieldhouse by 4:30!

MUSIC BOOSTER MEETING UPDATE
Hello Everyone! The Music Booster Meeting for this evening has been CANCELLED due to several officers being sick. The meeting will now take place on Tuesday November 8th at 6:00 pm in the band room. I do apologize for the short notice but appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Congratulations to the Marching Ironmen for their Excellent Rating at OSSAA Regional Marching Contest today. It has been a great season!!! I am so super proud of these kids and all their hardwork. #ironmenexcellence #IronmenPride
A HUGE shout out to Mr. James Vestal, Mr. Chris Tanner and Mr. Homer Johnston for loading up a bus of cheerleaders, football players and basketball players to come watch and support the Marching Ironmen today. It meant A LOT to us to have the support from both the school and the kids!!!!



Mrs. Scott’s Biology students were using DNA Gel Electrophoresis to compare the DNA of cattle, in order to determine which had the genetics to produce milk with the highest protein content!





Congratulations to the Marching Ironmen on another successful day of marching band. The Marching Ironmen participated at the Beggs Invitational were they received 1st in class 3A Gold, Best Drum Major for class 3A and 2nd place Drumline for class 3A.
