Due to a COVID issue late in the day within the Dewey basketball program all of tonight’s games and Senior night activities are postponed. Everyone involved in making this decision regrets the late notice. Student and community safety is at the heart of these decisions.

If you are escorting a senior this evening please meet Mr. Williams in the old gym at 5:45pm. We have a simple format that will allow for us to wear masks while staging, yet allow individual families the option to wear masks while actually on the court for their introduction.

Elementary Parents, I know rumors are circulating that the school will not be in session from Thanksgiving to Christmas Break. I have “heard” them also, but not in any official way. We will be back to school on November 20th, 2020 we will then be out for the planned Thanksgiving Break. I want to assure you we are planning on coming back on November 30th, 2020 from Thanksgiving Break. We feel the best place for our elementary students is in a classroom with teachers for in-person learning. We also realize the struggle for working parents when pivoting to virtual. When we have been short-staffed, the High School sends over employees to help out. The district is doing its best to keep our elementary students at school, with safety being the utmost concern. In saying this, we all know things can change. We sent home iPads and paper packets. We are preparing for the worst, but planning for the best as you should also! The iPads can stay home until we return to school on November 30th, 2020. The iPads do not need to come back Friday the 20th, the less the iPads travel, the less the damage to them. Thank you, Sherry Campbell
