Just a reminder that Jostens will be here tomorrow at 11am to take Senior orders for graduation products. They will meet with Sophomores at 11:30 to take class ring orders.
Due to weather related power issues at his home and office, our letter jacket distributor can not make it tomorrow. We will reschedule as soon as possible.
Weather permitting letter jackets will be ordered tomorrow from 9am until noon. Parents, if you want to show up anytime between those hours we will bump you to the front of the line. There is a $100 deposit. Specific concerns can be addressed to Mr. Cunningham.
We will post more details later. However, Friday a group of NHS students will be downtown asking questions of citizens so that we can have our own poll data to analyze as part of a High School Wide election project. Our effort is to teach our students to think and analyze information for themselves.

We encourage social distancing at all of our facilities, social distancing of 6 feet is strongly encouraged during all events. Please be respectful of others around you.
Masks or face coverings are strongly encouraged for all spectators especially when entering and exiting our facilities and in the concession stand area.
Spectators, we ask that you sit in family groups and respect the area around others.
Spectators who choose to sit in the bleachers must keep their children with them at all times.
Students attending the game without their parents must sit in the bleachers.
Spectators who choose to sit in lawn chairs on the outside of the field must keep their children with them at all times.
Students are not allowed to congregate anywhere around the field or any part of the stadium.
Students are not allowed to play around the field or any part of the stadium.
Only players, coaches, officials, training/medical staff and administrators are allowed on the field/sidelines before, during,and after events. NO Spirit Lines.
There will be no coach or team handshake before or after the game.
No post game meetings are allowed to take place on the field. Fans are not allowed on the field after events.
Only essential personnel will be allowed in the press box.
No outside food or drinks are allowed in the facility.

Elementary Parents,
Next week we are expecting cold temperatures. Please, dress your children accordingly. We go outside every day unless the wind chill is below freezing.
Many people have not been able to work because of closures of school and places of employment. If your child would need a coat, gloves, or hat, email me at scampbell@npsok.org. We can help!

Greetings Nowata Elementary School Parents,
Next week is our Red Ribbon Week! Below you will find the dress-up days. On October 30th, we will have our classroom parties. This year due to COVID 19 and our recent closure, we will not have visitors during the class party. This action breaks our hearts; we love our Nowata Ironmen parents, and we know you would love to be here! We are going to try to have a costume parade and record it for all of our parents. The teachers will take pictures and place them on Class DOJO.
We will have store-bought items only for the classroom parties, and the student’s teacher will message you more about the party details on DOJO! You may send the items with your students on the day of the party, or we can meet you at the door to receive the items. (I know the little ones have a hard time carrying them.) Please make sure and label the treats with the name of the classroom teacher.
We are doing our best to stay open. Please understand how much we miss our parents and volunteers and how we wish this could be different.

High school students school is back to normal tomorrow. It should be a great day. Busses will be running as normal if your a bus rider.
Students today starts the new grading policy. So, from this point on if you turn an assignment in late it will be given a 0 on the third day. The first and second days it is late, the teacher will decide what grade to give. As always, if you miss school for an excused reason, you will be given the appropriate amount of time to get work turned in without penalty.

We hope you have had a safe and restful Fall Break. After careful examination of the COVID-19 situation, we have made the decision to continue with distance learning at the high school through Wednesday, October 21. Please see below for additional information.
- High school students will return to in-person learning on Thursday, October 22 unless you have been specifically contacted with a different in-person return date. High school students will not be able to ride the bus Thursday, October 22.
- Elementary and middle schools will return to in-person learning tomorrow, October 20. Busses will run normally for elementary and middle school students.
If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, we encourage you to get tested.
