All school activities for today are cancelled. We are in contact with the OSSAA in regard to the district basketball games that we are supposed to host Friday evening. If the OSSAA updates thier timeline for playoffs, we will share it with you.

Due to the continuing weather event we are experiencing Nowata Public Schools will be closed Monday, February 15th. Enjoy the snow and be safe. (Snow Day)

Unfortunately, road conditions haven’t improved enough to return to in-person learning, therefore Friday, February 12th will be another distance learning day.

The Nowata School Board meeting scheduled for Monday, February 8th has been cancelled due to hazardous road conditions.

The High School basketball games in Commerce tonight have been canceled.

Due to icy road conditions Nowata Public Schools will pivot to virtual learning for Monday, February 8th. Stay home and stay safe.

The week of February 8-12 is Basketball Homecoming Week. We will have Spirit Week at Nowata Elementary! Valentine's Day The classroom party will be on February 12th! The classroom teacher of your student will be contacting you. You may have gifts delivered to the school. If we do not receive the gift by 2:00 p.m., we will not guarantee delivery. Please call your flower shop early or bring your gift to the school before that time! Thank you!

Basketball Update: The Varsity games tonight at Oklahoma Union ARE being played. Girls start at 6:30. Saturday's games have been cancelled. All Juniour High games next week are cancelled.

Nowata Elementary Update At this time, we have a Covid positive count of 10. We have family siblings in this count, with a total of 6 of our school families involved. 2.39 % of our elementary school population. We have quarantined classrooms and teachers where the students have been positive—using the guidelines from Washington County Health Department. The students and parents have received notifications using ClassDojo. We have not had any new positive reports since Tuesday. 2/2/2021 If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nowata Elementary School at 918-273-0771.

The Junior High boys are playing at home this evening. The 6th grade playes at 5:00, 7th grade at 5:45, 8th grade at 6:30 and JV at 7:15. Please do not arrive early and leave after your game is over.

High School Basketball Update: Friday, February 5th, we play Varisty boys and girls only at Oklahoma Union. The girls will start at 6:30. They have requested that we do not show up until 6:15. Saturday, February 6th, we have scheduled a new home game. Our Varsity girls will play Wright Christian's Varsity at 2pm. Our JV boys will play their Varsity boys immediately after.
