Tomorrow’s student council blood drive will be held at Cornerstone Church between noon and 6pm. 260 E Gayler.

The band competition for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Nowata Public Schools Cafeteria will be offering pick up meals from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Elementary School beginning Friday 10-9-2020 through Monday 10-19-2020 including Fall Break Days (excluding weekends). These meals are free to children age 1 to 18 regardless of enrollment.

The football game Friday night has been cancelled/postponed. It became clear late this afternoon that the safest course of action was to not play tomorrow night. I would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding.

Nowata Ironmen, Our school administration was notified last night, Wednesday October 7, 2020, that a Nowata High School student has tested positive for COVID 19. Contact tracing has been completed and all affected have been notified. Due to the current situation, we have pivoted to virtual instruction, which will continue Friday, October 9, Monday October 12 and Tuesday, October 13. Students will return to in person instruction Tuesday, October 20. Secondary students will continue using google classroom while elementary students receive information on virtual learning through Class Dojo. The letter jacket order scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed. I will get a new date as soon as possible.

Tech students will not be attending tech tomorrow.

Nowata Public Schools will be taking a virtual day tomorrow so we can deep clean the school. High school and Middle school students will use google classroom. Elementary students will get information using class dojo.

At the varisty game in Dewey Friday evening, they will require masks to get in. They would like us enter on the visitors side. They will have a food truck and port potties available. They want us to know we are welcome to use the main restroom if needed, but would prefer that we stay on our side if at all possible. Our band and cheerleaders will be there. I will update you if Dewey has any changes later in the week.
