
Tue: JV/Vars at Caney Valley 5:00 Wed - Jr High at OKU will start at 10:00 with 6th grade girls followed by 6th grade boys, 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls, 8th grade boys and then 9th grade boys to finish up. Thurs- Home against South Coffeyville. Instead of JV, we will have 7-8 grade combined girls game followed by boys. Varsity will follow. 4:00 start Friday- JV/varsity at OKU 5:00 start

Mrs. Scott's Biology classes are studying enzymes. Today the students performed a lab activity and determined which substances contain the enzyme "catalase". They measured the relative influence of several different factors on the activity of enzymes in living tissue.

The Chelsea Basketball Tournament is on hold right now. No games today for sure. We will post updates when they become available.

Due to the inclement weather, Nowata Public Schools will move to distance learning Friday, January 10th. Stay safe, everyone.

No basketball games today at the Chelsea Tournament for us. Basically our tournament schedule is being shifted one day. Girls play at 1:00 tomorrow and boys at 2:30.

Students who have met the requirements for exemption do not have to be in attendance for the period for which they are exempt. For example, a student exempt from the first hour but not the second hour would need to attend Thursday to attend the study session for the test on Friday.

The Nowata Band and Choir Winter Concert is this evening at 7:00 pm in the MS Gym.

The Marching Ironmen Annual Tastefully Decorated Christmas Contest. The Marching Ironmen are all dressed up and ready for the Nowata Christmas Parade. Our Clarinets took first place in our little contest. Congratulations Clarinets and enjoy your bragging rights. All the sections did great. Should be a good parade.

Today, four members from the Nowata MS and HS Choir participated at OU Real Men Sing Vocal workshop and concert. Our young men joined 565 other young men from 58 schools from across the state of Oklahoma to join together in song. It was a beautiful and amazing experience. Jacob Horner, Kyle Hanigan, Adam Oxford, and Rhett Buesser represented Nowata with great pride.
